Have been busy times around here just lately. Last couple of weeks have involved getting to work on revising the thesis (again) and waiting for comments regarding proposed changes… It is a rather tedious process, but having nearly completed one small part of the task by the end of last week it is looking worthwhile, the section seems far more comprehensive. Still much to be done.

After months of looking for work I am still looking.

But, have an interview in the West of England on Wednesday for a one year Research Fellow position. It would be a good stepping stone to something more permanent, either there (depending on opportunities) or elsewhere. Builds on skills gained during research and in the workforce prior to that. Will be a nice trip regardless of what happens. P also has an interview tomorrow before we get on the train. Either way one of us will have something before too much longer.

Finally, I have just received word that one of the papers that I sent off a couple of months back has received reviews that make it possibly suitable for publication. Subject to revisions (being completed within the next three and a half weeks) this paper will appear in the first issue of the 2009 volume. Will need to look over the comments and determine whether this is a feasible timeframe (am assuming it probably is).
